The Chronicles of Williams

So much has happened this year!  We had our 25th wedding anniversary and we had 2 graduations and another coming up in May.  We are so thrilled that our kids, parents and family are happy and healthy!  We love our friends and enjoy them more and more every year.  Wyoming as a home base is perfect for our family.  We love our friends and enjoy being with our boys as much as possible.  Instead of writing a blog, today we will share some photos that share some of our experiences in 2014.  I have an art website that tells all about my studio adventures if you are interested.  www.renewilliamsart.com David will be Botany Chair at UW for another 2 or 3 years then we are off to the next sabbatical but until then we are home base in Laramie so let us know if you are close.  We'd love to catch up! Having a fun time just living our lives here in the southern hemisphere ... 2 months to go so trying to make  the most of it.  Mostly our life is enjoying the birds and animals and looking for fun whenever we can fit it in.  Cullen enjoys school, but his last day is this Friday.  They are finishing up Term 1 and we'll be travelling and preparing to get back home, so he'll be working on his online Geometry.  My schedule includes lots of work (the online consulting stuff), women's tennis league on Wed nights and mixed league on Thurs nights.  David and I have enjoyed our tennis friends and playing regularly in a league.   Playing outside, in the rain, at night, when it's hot, with the insects must most of the time with beautiful pink/orange sunsets above, black and white cockatoos, owls and perfect temperature.... all of it is super cool.  We're getting ready to sell everything we bought and then house/cat sitting for friends in between our...

Tennis, music and food connect people together I've realized. Today was my first attemp to find some tennis women friends that I can play tennis with during the day.  It was just perfect!  I went to the courts just as the sun was warming up everything and there were about 7 women waiting for 1 more person to show up for their "Wed Social Tennis".  It was a fun round robin and very casual (just like I like it).  It was just fine to talk in the middle of the point about lunch, your garden or anything else that suited you.  We laughed and made fun of each other and blamed all of the shots we missed on the sun.... just like we do at home!  Oh if only my Laramie sisters were here!  These women would love Jan's pirate tatoos that we wear, or the plastic jewelry we like from the dollar store, or Cathy and Deb's collection of stolen road construction cones, or Cheryl's influence on us to wear skull apparel. Another part that was great .........
